DQ I is the mother of all RPG's and was really hard for someone who was new to this type of game
Yea, It sure was a clash from Megaman 2!!
Ugh... King Lorik is such a bore.
I have to look away! The terrible graphics are making me queasy!
Hmm.. In DQ, we need to select in which direction to talk.
DW would never have been the same with this feature. This is an incredible improvement on DQ!
No way! It used a password instead of a battery to save your quest?
Batteries! Hmmph!
Cristo cast Sleepmost ! Brey fell asleep.
Notice the lack of detail in the villagers faces? Kinda like the people at the Gap, huh?
My..... No! Dear God no... My face! Help me!
"She sells sea shells by the sea shore". Notice the shoreline or lack of?
Why aren't you helping me!?!?!?!
Take a guess what direction I am moving?
Oh.. I don't care... Down
Ha! Wrong princess! I am going right. Every direction looks the same for me and the villagers in DQ!
Yuk.
Here is our hero all decked out in equipment.
I wish the other DQ games did that!
Ha! That lame DQ pallet-swapped version of me wanna-be guard has no shield! He's mine!!
Well what about the story? Any differences there?
Well Erdrick was called Loto and the Princess was called Lora in Japan.
Lora in Japan!? Why was it Gwaeilenaliwano...whatever in English?
Anyway.. Other than a few name changes, the differences were mostly cultural...
You mean more swearing and sex?
Yes...
Although this may offend DQ purists, the game really wasn't finished until the North American version.
DQ didn't have a chance in comparison - graphics and menu navigation were greatly improved upon for the North American version.
ZZZZzzzzz.....
Are you going to fix him?
No....
